I think tacos, burritos and nachos deserve their own food group.  Don't you?  I love crispy, crunchy taco shells, seasoned meat, fresh veggies and cheese all wrapped stuffed into one shell.  Then there's the nacho- crunchy chips and spicy queso.   Of course, the burrito.  Get the entire food pyramid in one tortilla.  Genius.  

Some days, I want tacos.  Some days, it's all about the nachos.  Or burritos.  Then there are those crazy days where I refuse to choose and eat them all.  At once.  Well, kinda.  That's how the idea for Nacho Tacos came to life.  Nacho Tacos, they're MINE and I ain't sharing.  *giggles*

I really shouldn't laugh but my poor boss is so saddened by the Oregon Ducks not ranking (for the first time in six years) and he was NOT in the mood this morning.  It was pretty humorous.  I tried to bribe him these Spicy Teriyaki Wings but he wasn't in the eating mood.  

Yes, ladies and gents- football season is upon us.  I am a huge fan of college sports and am really excited to see how the Cornhuskers do this year! Whoooo! It's going to be a GOOD year.  

Now, with football comes food, food and more food, right? These wings are sweet and spicy.  Oh and really, really, REALLY messy.  Isn't that what life is all about? Good food, good friends, good times and not stressing over anything.

Ahhhhhhhh! Fall.  I am so happy it's officially here.  It's time for the weather to cool down, football, crazy schedules, ballet, pumpkin patches, and The Walking Dead.  There are so many important things happening and frankly, I like to find ways to make our dinner routine a little easier.  

I had a bad habit of hitting the drive thru on my way home on ballet nights, program nights, or just after having to work late at work and just being TOOOOOO tired to do anything.   I've been making meals that can be done super fast, are super tasty and really easy.  These Marinated Pork Tenderloin Sliders are one of those easy meals.  Topped with pineapple coleslaw and it's heaven on a bun.  No lies.

Mortimer Farms' PumpkinFest & Corn Maze- Dewey Arizona

There's just something about going on a local adventure.  Most of us tend to think of a long distance when it comes to travel but in reality, there are so many great places to explore right out your back door.  Earlier this year, I made a goal to start really exploring Arizona.  I've lived here almost 20 years and haven't really done much outside of the city until earlier this year.

I want to give my daughter a lot of fun memories.  Not toys.  Not clothes.  Just memories.  Good, fun and happy memories.  You already know we love farms (especially being a Kansas girl!).  One of the spots I am going to visit this fall?

Mortimer Family Farms in Dewey, AZ.  I am pretty excited! I love a good Pumpkin Fest and Corn Maze!

It's FALL! That means cooler weather, football, soups, stews, Halloween and best of all- PUMPKIN PATCH TIME!  Em and I love hitting up the local farms' pumpkin patches (Yes, we do have legit farms here in the Arizona desert!).  Our favorite local one is Tolmachoff Farms in Glendale Arizona.  (Read about my last year's visit here)
