The holiday season is absolutely magical, stressful and exhausting all in one. Calendars are packed, kids have a ton of events, holiday shopping, gatherings, work parties, traveling, gift shopping, decorating, yada yada yada. Like I said- magical, stressful AND exhausting.
I am an introvert and the large gatherings completely drain me. I love hosting a fun gathering- whether it's for Christmas, New Year's, births, promotions, etc, for a small group of friends as a way to just celebrate it together.
I try to make small gatherings as easy as possible without cutting corners.
Simple yet delicious snacks
I like to create a simple cheese board with smoked meats (like salami, prosciutto, etc.), cheese (swiss, sharp cheddar, pepper jack, etc.), fruit (like apples, grapes, etc.) and crackers.
Sometimes, we even have a potluck game night. We vote what dinner theme (i.e., Hawaiian, Italian, etc.) and we each bring a dish.
Stemware.
It's a fun night and time to bring out the stemware. My favorites are the Libbey® Libbey Glass Perfect Signature™ Auden All-Purpose Wine Glasses . Games/Movies/Activities
We love gaming. Video games (Um, hellloooooo Just Dance, Super Mario Brothers Smash...), board games, card games, etc. There's nothing more fun than a night of laughter, shenanigans and a little bit of wine. Even hosting a movie themed night or craft night can be a HUGE success and all guests will have a GREAT time.
These ideas are fantastic for holiday gatherings but are really PERFECT for ANY gathering ANY time of the year!
