Sloppy Joe Pockets

Sometimes, we need to be kids again, right? Eat something that is messy-licious and makes our faces a mess.  Manwich Mondays makes it easy to be a kid again and these super easy Sloppy Joe Pockets are just what the doctor ordered.

Manwich Mondays

I know I have posted about how sloppy joes and Manwich bring me fond memories.  I don't eat them often enough but when I do, they bring forth a huge smile as I think of my dad.  When he would buy Manwich, ground beef and buns- it was a HUGE treat for us as kids.  He would get so excited and so would we.  It was typically boxing night (he was a boxing coach) and the fights would be on and we would be eating sloppy joes.  Ahhhhhh... the good old days.

Hee hee.

Well, these Easy Sloppy Joe Pockets really ARE easy.  No matter how busy you are, you totally have time to make these.  Pinky promise.

All you have to do is brown a pound of ground beef, drain and add your can of Manwich.

Then use a toaster oven or a sandwich maker (which is what I use as it makes it easy to seal the edges of the bread) to make the pockets.

Fill each bun bottom with the Manwich filling.

Top with the other bun (I loooove onion hamburger buns.  I am so addicted but use whatever you like, even sandwich bread).

If using a toaster oven (or oven), you will need to press seal the edges of the bread.  With the sandwich maker, it does it on its own.  Cook until toasted and sealed.

Voila.

Sloppy Joe Pockets.  Easy.  Piece of cake.
